WHY IT MATTERS
Running a booth teaches things a classroom can’t: how to price something, talk to customers, make change, and bounce back from a slow hour. The Kelso Kids Market gives young people a real, low-cost place to try being their own boss, with tables just [$5] and their community there to cheer them on.
We launched the market in 2024 under the bridge at the Kelso City Hall parking lot, and it’s continued every year since. Each market brings families downtown, puts local kids in front of new customers, and plants the seed for Kelso’s next generation of small business owners.
HOW YOU CAN HELP SUPPORT KELSO STUDENTS
Have a young entrepreneur at home? Kids under 18 who live in Cowlitz County can reserve a booth space. Dates, times, and table fees are posted with each market on our Events page.
